Today I started quilting this quilt. As soon as I started loading it up on the frame I noticed that it wasn't straight and the borders are really wavy...eeek...
I wanted to cry...oh well, I guess it's all experience...
This shows the importance of correctly measuring, cutting and attaching borders. It can be very stressful for your longarmer to get a quilt like this. We love to quilt and want to do the best job we can on your quilt tops but sometimes, when the borders are bad like this, it can be hard to hide it.
After I hit it with some steam...
I will weave my magic to ease all the extra fabric in and it will be lovely but it is quite hard to hide it.
The rest of the quilt was ok.....
.although the seams aren't pressed properly so I couldn't Stitch in the Ditch
I will show you the end product in a couple of days...wish me luck...
Happy Quilting

Sending luck your way! How could that have happened! Ugh!
Hi Leanne - It's amazing to me that you can work in that much extra fabric! That's talent. So, what is the proper way to press seams for stitching in the ditch?
My fingers are firmly crossed for you!
