Just a Little Bit of Quilting....

Friday afternoon I decided that I would put one of my own quilts up on the frame. Recently I have done heaps of customer quilts and I was feeling a bit left out.

I thought I might custom quilt it instead of just an all over.

This block reminds me of Peppermint Chocolate...Yummm

I am absolutely thrilled at how it turned out. I am exhausted and aching all over but it was totally worth it. It had to be off the frame for a customer one to go on Monday. I finished at 5pm today. So that's 12 hrs of quilting in 2 days. Phew!!

Pay no Attention to the messy house in the background. Something had to give....

The fabric is Hushabye by Tula Pink. I have a few quilts on the go in fabric by Tula. They are all so nice.

Happy Quilting
Leanne

I am in awe of your quilting! It looks fabulous. And I envy the space you have to house a long arm - our houses here in the UK are so teeny tiny - no hope for me!

This is so lovely! How do you keep the circles in your scrolls so even? Just practice? Or do you use any kind of markings or rulers?

Oh Leanne, that quilting is fantastic! I love the waves and the swirls and how they make each block stand out so beautifully! The entire quilt is just lovely! Well done!

This quilt is gorgeous. You could almost tempt me to be a long arm quilter instead of a hand quilter with that kind of work. I love it. One day soon I am going to make one with those boxes and get my daughter who is perfecting her skills at that sort of quilting to quilt it for me. She is getting really good! Yeah! Then, I would need to buy HER a long arm machine! Not a bad idea...

The quilt is beautiful -and the quilting just makes it so special. I am only quilting on my sewing machine at the moment, and would LOVE to get a longarm quilter. Maybe, one day! Thanks for the inspiration!

That quilt is absolutely beautiful! I need to try that pattern. Is it jelly roll width strips? Amazing and your quilting really makes it!

In the past I washed all fabric yardage. Since I "upgraded" to mostly quilt shop fabrics, I no longer wash most of the fabric I buy. I might mix yardage with fat quarters, and they don't wash too well without raveling. When I finish, I wash my quilt with a color catcher. Have not had problems so far.... Crossing my fingers!
