I also don't wash, but so far I used small pieces of fabric for my sewing projects. I am still a beginner at sewing.

Thanks for the great tutorial on washing. I am an admitted washer.....for me it takes care of shrinkage and helps get the fabric to a true grain. I toss every piece into the laundry when I bring it home. Keeps things simpler for me.

I just came across your blog via Chasing Cottons. I am a new follower of your blog now. I loved your newest post of the top you quilted! So pretty.
I do not prewash my fabrics. Once I am done with a quilt I will throw it in the wash, but not before it is done. I usually buy quality fabric so I have never had to worry about prewashing and it is easier to handle if I don't. Never had a problem.

I only wash when I'm making a garment I don't want to shrink. I almost never wash when quilting.

Thanks for the giveaway and chance to win. What yummy fabric.

I try to always wash and then iron with a homemade starch. Habit I guess.

If my fabric is yardage, I wash it. FQ's, charm squares, and other cut items? Nope, I don't wash those. EXCEPT...if it's red, black, deep purple, all those colors we have so many problems wiht bleeding/fading, yep, doesn't matter if it's a FQ, charm square, etc., that baby gets washed.

I know I am like 421 but I still hope that miracles of miracles I win.
I never wash. Well if it is a natural fiber that I know is going to shrink for clothes, I do wash that.
I like waiting using cotton bating and then washing so that it puffs up when it does shrink.

I am now a follower, you are added to my google reader, so see ya next time.

I read your post on Chasing Cottons blog.

I never wash fabrics before I use them. I am lazy and I think that they always look better folded unwashed.

I am a beginner and I haven't made much quilts.
Whatever I have made, were done without pre-washing. But when I sew garments I wash them sometimes.

Congrats on being featured and thanks for the yummy giveaway!

I'm a non washer...lol Sounds kind of wrong saying that, but I am after all referring to whether I wash fabric before I use it in a project! Hugs Naomi

I don't wash, though that's mostly because I don't want to take the time.

I never wash my fabrics, ever before I use them to make whatever I am making.

Everyone tells me not to wash, that you don't have to and it's not necessary, but for some reason I have this obsession and I must wash everything...I washed an AB jelly roll over the weekend (I usually don't work with precuts, so this was a first for me), and my friends near had a heart attach when I told them, lol!!

I just found your blog and I'm a new follower, it looks wonderful!

I usually wash but the more I'm reading the more I'm thinking I'll probably not in the future. :) Thanks for the giveaway.

I only wash darker colours. I like the feel of sewing unwashed fabrics.

I have some allergy issues with factory stablizers etc that are wheat based, so I pre-wash yardage. I don't wash precuts, and I do find my skin itchy after working with jellyrolls. Anyone wash jellyrolls?

I am a follower and thank you for your time in organizing this giveaway. I love the question, and half the fun for us readers is seeing really what everyone else does regarding the washing issue.

I normally don't wash unless it is flannel or some fabric from the thrift store that smells or has pet fur on it. Thanks for a chance to win.
